Location:
Palm Beach Sewer Robot Grind & Reline
Timeframe:
2.5 days
Description:
The house next to a construction site was found to have a section of their sewer pipe full of concrete! We were able to use our robots to cut as required and then use relining to repair the issue very quickly.
We used our Climbolino and Dancutter Robots to grind through concrete, then through pipe & soil to create a new pathway for the new liner ‘pipe’. We then relined the new 1.7m pathway with glass resin infused structural liner, to create a “new pipe” underground.
We completed all this without excavating the massive retaining wall, footings, house wall or slab – which would have caused a substantial risk to the beach-house’s structure. All works were completed via 100mm sewer pipe access points.
Challenges:
Our biggest challenge was limited access with only 400-600mm between the house and retaining wall to reach the concrete filled sewer.
The 1.5m x 100mm sewer pipe was located 1.2m under the retaining wall, house wall and house slab – meaning that excavation was not possible.
